Oral History Program
Columbus State University collects oral history interviews with residents of the
Chattahoochee Valley and makes them accessible to the public.
Currently, over 400 oral histories on a wide variety of local history
topics are available for research use in the archives reading room. The
Mill
Worker Oral History Collection is available to online users, and the General Oral History Collection is searchable by surnames.
Individuals and groups interested in conducting single oral history interviews or
multi-interview projects are encouraged to contact the archives.
Although in most cases we cannot conduct interviews for you, we can
often provide training, advice, and can also loan basic equipment. The
CSU Archives will be glad to house and make available to the public
oral history interviews which relate to Columbus and the surrounding
region. Please contact Reagan
Grimsley for more details.
